The Migrant Child Farmworkers©

Narrated by Xolo Maridueña (Star of Blue Beetle, and Cobra Kai)

The Migrant Child Farmworkers © is an original documentary film featuring the powerfully inspiring stories of 10 high-profile professionals of color. Growing up they experienced homelessness, hunger, poverty, neglect and abuse, exacerbated by society’s cruel indifference toward their suffering. Many worked full-time as migrant child farmworkers with their earnings going to help the family survive. None of it stopped them.

Today they’re engineers, doctors, medical professors, researchers, educators, and leaders elected to the U.S. Congress and California State Assembly and Senate. Their achievements, in defiance of all odds and adversity, is a testament to the indomitable human spirit. Their examples of turning poverty and hardship into personal and professional triumph, clearly demonstrates the unlimited human potential of all children and is a reminder of what is indeed possible for them to achieve, including the children of immigrant and refugee families and those experiencing homelessness, poverty and family crises.

Told They Can’t © is the former working title of the The Migrant Child Farmworkers ©
